The one-line version
StreamMark stores timestamps, labels, and notes — never your video. Nothing you stream or upload to YouTube is ever downloaded, copied, stored, or processed by our servers.
What we collect
- Account basics— when you sign in with Google: your email address, display name, and profile picture. Used to create your account and show who's signed in.
- Your markers — the timestamps, labels, colors, and notes you create by clicking during streams, and the cuts you arrange from them.
- YouTube broadcast metadata (read-only)— with your permission, we read your broadcasts' titles, video IDs, and start/end times so your markers line up with the correct video automatically.
- Device tokens — when you pair the browser extension or desktop agent, we store a hashed access token so your clicks reach your account.
What we never collect
- Your video or audio content — in any form, ever.
- Your YouTube chat, subscribers, analytics, or private channel data.
- Anything from pages the extension runs on beyond the video's ID, title, duration, and current playback time at the moment you click.
- Passwords — sign-in happens entirely on Google's side.
Google user data
StreamMark's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We request the
youtube.readonlyscope solely to read your broadcasts' timing metadata and match your markers to the right VOD. - Google data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never transferred to third parties except as required to provide the service you asked for.
- No humans read this data except with your explicit consent (e.g., a support request), or where required for security or by law.
- You can revoke StreamMark's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Handoff links
When you create a handoff link, anyone holding that link can view that stream's markers, notes, and previews — that's the point: your editor needs no account. Treat the link like you'd treat the video itself, and revoke it anytime from the stream's board.
Where your data lives
On servers hosted by Railway (Southeast Asia region), encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Rendered videos are produced by scripts running on your own computer from your own files — they never pass through our servers.
Deletion & your rights
- Delete any marker, cut, session, or handoff link yourself, anytime — deletion is immediate.
- To delete your entire account and all its data, email us (address below) — we complete it within 7 days.
- Revoking Google access (link above) immediately stops all YouTube metadata reads.
Cookies
One cookie: your sign-in session. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics scripts.
